Gavin Rajah x Legit collection

Summer is in, and we all showing our skin, we loosing weight and we

getting very close to the fun-filled festive season. And what better

way to spend your holidays wearing Gavin Rajah's new collection in

collaboration with South Africa's clothing shop Legit.

Jeannie D's ... Jeannie in a bottle

Vivacious Top Billing and Top Travel presenter Jeannie D launches her

very first Perfume "Jeannie in a bottle". Jeannie joins A-list

celebrities who already have a couple of perfumes under their

sleeves.. Celebs like Katy Perry, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

However the making of the perfume was by fragrance house Luzi

Switzerland and then packaged by Creighton products in Durban. Forma

cosmetics and Jeannie D's partners went over 50 different combinations

in four sessions with Luzi Switzerland to come up with that one scent

that they finally agreed on. The scent is described to be oriental,

sophisticated and floral.. Sounds good to me! With a little a bit of

amber, musk, tonka bean and vanilla. While some of ya'll are itching

so hard for this perfume to hit the stores. Jeannie in a bottle will

exclusively be available at Clicks stores nationwide on the 1st of

December 2013! We absolutely can't wait.

Woolworths RE: Denim Jeans x Candice Swanepoel

A month ago, South African model best known for her works on

Victoria's Secret Candice Swanepoel.. Landed in South Africa to shoot

a campaign with Woolworths and charity works for Operation Smile. We

all know her as the blonde girl that struts the runway in every

designer clothing all the time and for Woolworths to star a super

model like Candice Swanepoel for this particular campaign it couldn't

be any better.

With summer and the fun festive season on the way which we are all

excited about, Woolies creates a denim collection for Woolworths RE:

Denim jeans starring the beautiful model Candice Swanepoel. I'm sure

you ladies are already imagining yourselves in these hot denim pieces.

I love how denim always is an integral part on spring/summer trends

and how it perfectly fits with anything if executed perfectly and how

it squeezes its way with ease.

And with this campaign, Woolworths really did pull out all the stops

to release one the best that triggers any young South African lady to

wear their denim perfectly.

Daily Paper Fall/Winter 2013 Editorial by Marnix Postma

Designed with a characteristic reminiscent backdrop of an African

village. Daily Paper releases new F/W collection 2013. The collection

continues to draw inspiration from different African cultures. The

collection mostly drew inspiration from the Mali mud cloth and Kenyan

Maasai tribe. The eye-catching editorial was shot by an amazing Dutch

photographer Marnix Postma. What you can expect from the range is an

assortment of printed t-shirts, corduroy button ups, varsity jackets

and wool crew neck sweaters. The Amsterdam label continues to portray

its latest offer in a very distinctive manner. Check out the look

American Music Awards 2013

Last night the American Music awards  2013..(AMA's) aired live at Nokia

theatre LA in Los Angeles.. The event was fully packed with America's

A-list celebrities.. They took the red carpet with a storm.. Which I

will be reviewing. But there were also great performances from One

Direction, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and Kendrick

Lamar.. The highlight of the event was when Rihanna received the very

first AMA Icon Award.. Without a doubt Rihanna has sold more than 50

million albums! But what was more interesting is the red carpet

fashion.. Tell me who your

Get the LOOK! Blue as the new Black

A little bit of colour never hurts.. In fact the colour blue changes

that. Its a fashion trend that everyone is talking about. I'm

interested in all these colours this spring/summer, they just remind

me summer is in and we have to embrace that as much as we can..

regardless of the cold weather in some places here in South Africa.

The colour blue is agreed to be the new black actually .."midnight

blue" is rumoured to be the new black.. Which I full on agree! But

there's also different and lighter shades of blue that I will strongly

emphasise on.

Adding blue to my outfit with genuine accessories.. That's fine by

me.. But wearing denim's all the time and reckoning that I've nailed

the trend aint fine. A bit of imagination never hurts.. Go crazy with

blue printed tees, shirts, shorts, hats, beanies and sneakers with

linings of blue here and there. Make it fun and go wild with the

trend.. I love going all crazy with these trends.. Of which some are

meant to be formal and all classic. I try breaking the rules to suit

my own taste and style.

It seems like the fashion runway agrees with me.. The colour blue has

been featured countless times and the designers have twitched a lil

bit and added corresponding colours to make the trend look more

appealing and summery, there's even prints that are on trend that you

can throw on to your look.. E.g florals and camouflage.. the whole

idea is to add a mix and match of colours and patterns.. Without

loosing the whole aesthetic of the colour blue.
